Discovery of Exchange 2007 SP1 fails on AppManager 6.0.2.


Exchange 2007 MO for AppManager 6.0.2 does not support Exchange 2007 SP1

Hotfix 70926 for AppManager 6.0.2 has been released to correct this deficiency.  To allow the Discovery_Exchange2007 Knowledge Script to correctly discover Exchange 2007 with Service Pack 1 installed, please download and install Hotfix 70926 for AppManager 6.0.2.  You can download Hotfix 70926 from the following location:

Why Install this Hotfix?

This hotfix allows you to discover and monitor Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 with Service Pack 1 using AppManager version 6.0.2.

This hotfix updates the following files:

• Discovery_Exchange2007.qml
• Exchange2007_Availability.qml
• Exchange2007_BestPracticesAnalyzer.qml
• Exchange2007_DataCollection.qml
• Exchange2007_Health.qml

Installing the Hotfix

To install this hotfix, run AM602_Hotfix70926_setup.exe on all repository computers and on all agent computers where you have installed Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1. For repositories running in a clustered environment, run AM602-Hotfix70926.exe on all nodes in the cluster.

The Exchange2007_Install.log file lists all changes and problems encountered during the installation process. By default, you can locate this file in the \NetIQ\Temp\NetIQ_Debug folder

 

The AppManager 6.0.2 Exchange 2007 Module that shipped in October of 2007 does not contain support for Exchange 2007 SP1.
