Situation
Setup.exe does not automatically detect when upgrading client workstation and only install console.

How do I upgrade client workstations to DRA 8.1 without configuring ADAM?
Ability to tell installer to not install ADAM on this machine and proceed with console only installation.

How do I upgrade client workstations to DRA 8.1 without configuring ADAM?
Ability to tell installer to not install ADAM on this machine and proceed with console only installation.
Resolution
When upgrading client workstations to DRA 8.1 using the Setup.exe file user is prompted for ADAM configuration settings, when ADAM is not required on a client workstation. The installer will not automatically detect that you are upgrading a console. To resolve this issue, upgrade client workstations with the SetupClient.exe, not Setup.exe
Cause
The main Setup.exe installer looks for ADAM instance during an upgrade.
