Situation
Error: 'Action Not Allowed' when running the Action_RebootSystem KS
Unable to remotely reboot machines from the AppManager Management server using the Action_RebootSystems KS.

Resolution
On the targeted Agent System(s):
- Launch registry editor and drop down to the HKLM | Software | NetIQ | 4.0 | NetIQmc | Security | AllowReboot string value.
- Double click the value to edit the Value Data field.
- Add in the NetBIOS name(s) of any and all Management Servers and any other Agent Systems that are allowed to reboot this machine remotely using a comma-separated list (no spaces).
- Restart the NetIQ AppManager Client Communication Manager and NetIQ AppManager Client Resource Monitor services on the Agent System(s) where you have made the above registry changes, so that the changes will take effect.
Note:
The above process can be automated using the NTAdmin_RegistrySet KS to propagate these registry changes to multiple or individual Agent Systems.
Cause
The "AllowReboot" string value located at: HKLM | Software | NetIQ | 4.0 | NetIQmc | Security is not configured to allow a remote reboot of the server.
