Symptom: DAR Access Report is empty
Symptom: DAR not journaling OP Entry Type transactions
Goal: How can I get Open and Close events to show up on the DAR Access Report?

Fix:
Use command DSPFD for the file in question. Check the value for parameter "Journal Entries to be Omitted" If it is set to *OPNCLO, no entries will be journaled when the file is opened or closed. The parameter can be changed to *NONE to capture these events, but you must first end journaling, then restart it, as in the following example:
