Situation

AdptSend:Failed tec_put_event, handle 0 Return code: -1 TEC errno: 0
The Tivoli connector has errors when attempting to forward events from or to AppManager
Possible error messages within the connector logs:

AdptSend:Failed tec_put_event, handle 0 Return code: -1 TEC errno: 0

AdptSend:Sending event through handle 18167672.
AdptSend:Failed tec_put_event, handle 0 Return code: -1 TEC errno: 0
AdptSend:Exiting

Resolution

Update DNS with the proper server name and IP address and\or use a HOST file on the server hosting the AppManager Connector to proper name resolution.

Cause

The AppManager Connector server cannot resolve the Tivoli server via name resolution (DNS).
