Resolution
Prerequisites for Group Policy Administrator
To begin working with Group Policy Administrator, you must have the following:
- A comfortable working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows 2000 Server or Advanced Server operating system and Active Directory.
- Active Directory set up for one or more Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows Server 2003 domains.
Group Policy Management Console Requirements
The following are the hardware, software, and network requirements for the GPA management console:

Operating system | One of the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional or Server with SP3 or later Microsoft Windows XP Professional with SP1 or later Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with SP1 or later (excluding Windows Server 2003 R2) |
Web Browser | Internet Explorer 5.5 or later (required only when integrating GPG reports) |
Other software | One of the following versions of Microsoft SQL Server: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Personal Edition Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3 or later Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Standard or Enterprise Edition, SP1 and SP2 MSDE 2000 The GPA Console only supports the default instance of Microsoft SQL Server. It does not support named instances or Microsoft SQL Server clusters. |
