You may receive ?Unknown error code from BITS: 801901F7? error when attempting to check in a Deployment Package.
You may receive ?Unknown error code from BITS: 801901F7? error when attempting to check in a Deployment Package in the Control Center console.
When installing Deployment Service, you may receive errors when checking in Deployment Packages.

When you attempt to check in a Deployment Package in the Control Center console, a dialog box states that the check-in fails. When you click the View Error link, you receive the following error:

Unknown error code from BITS: 801901F7
The service is temporarily overloaded.
The error occurred while the remote file was being processed.
Check for the deployment webservice is installed and active.

The server does not support HTTP 1.1.
The error occurred while the remote file was being processed.
Check for the deployment webservice is installed and active?

To resolve this issue, you will need to turn off the Proxy on the Deployment Server while you check in the Deployment Packages:

 

1. On the Deployment Server, open Internet Explorer
2. Click Tools > Internet Options
3. Click the Connections tab
4. Click LAN Settings
5. Uncheck the box under Proxy server
6. Click OK
7. Click OK

 You should now be able to check in Deployment Packages.

On the server where you have installed the Deployment Web Service, Internet Explorer is setup with a Proxy server. Because the Deployment Web Service is not browseable, a proxy may redirect requests to the ?Under Construction? page in IIS. Control Center interprets this as an error.
