Situation
Why am I not receiving email notifications when user's SPA Profiles are unlocked after the default time interval?
Resolution
Secure Password Administrator (SPA) can be configured to send email notifications whenever a user's Profile is locked out of SPA or unlocked for use again. These email notifications, "User Locked Out Email" and "User Unlock Email" are sent based on different settings:
- User Lockout: Sent immediately upon the user's SPA Profile being locked out of SPA
- User Unlock: Sent the next time the SPA Profile of the user is accessed either by the user or anyone able to access the SPA Admin site and select the user's SPA Profile
Within the SPA Profile Settings on the SPA Admin Site, the Lockout Settings do not imply that when a User Unlock occurs an email is sent, This is by design. See below:

[3] consecutive failed attempts within [30] [minutes] will lock out a user from the SPA Web site for [30] [minutes]
The User Unlock Email is not automatically sent so as to prevent the notification of available user accounts as an external security precaution.
