fix

Yes, you can change the port for the Web Console server. The default port is 1271.  You may want to define a custom port to get through a firewall.

To change the port used by the Web Console server:

  1. On the Web Console server, open the Internet Information Services Manager.
  2. Right-click the NetIQ Security Manager web site and select Properties.
  3. Change the port number under TCP port.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Right-click the NetIQ Security Manager web site, and select Stop.
  6. Right-click the NetIQ Security Manager web site, and select Start.
  7. On a Monitor Console computer, start the Monitor Console.
  8. In the left pane, expand Configuration, and then click Global Settings.
  9. In the right pane, open Web Addresses, and then update the port number for both addresses to the new port number.
  10. Start Internet Explorer.
  11. Go to the Web Console URL (default is http://<web console servername>:1271).
  12. After logging in, click the Personalize link.
  13. Click the Web Console Pane 2, and then modify the port number under A specified URL.
  14. Close Internet Explorer. The next time you access the Web Console the Reporting pane should load correctly.
