Situation

SNA DDM requests are not being blocked by RRM when using the source systems IP address

DDM requests that are coming through SNA do not get rejected when I create a *FAIL secured entry using systems IP address.

Resolution

Check the collected entry in question, this should contain the system name and not the IP address. Create a secured entry for the system name as the Network and RRM should honor this entry.

Cause

This issue occurs when using SNA token ring for DDM communication, or ANYNET (SNA over IP) and specifying TYPE *SNA in the DDM file specifications.
