Situation

NetIQ AppManager Web Console options/buttons give different VB errors
NetIQ AppManager WebConsole error: Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01ad' ActiveX component can't create object: 'AMLAYOUT.Layout' /netiq/reporttree.asp, line 76

Resolution

Re-Install the AppManager Web Management Server

Cause

The AMLAYOUT.Layout is called in asp using a CreateObject command. This error occurs whether the web page is displayed on the web server itself, or a connecting client.

Some of the AppManager WebServices files are corrupt or missing.
