Situation

How can I determine what Hotfixes have been applied to SPA?

Where can I see what SPA Hotfixes are installed?

How do I view patches applied to SPA?

Resolution

One of the following two methods can be used to view what Hotfixes have been applied to Secure Password Administrator (SPA):

Using Windows Explorer

  • Launch Windows Explorer and browse to .../Program Files/NetIQ/SPA.
  • Each Hotfix applied will be listed as a Readme text file (.txt) with the name of the text file corresponding to the hotfix number applied.  The text file is the actual Readme for the hotfix that was applied.

Using REGEDIT

  • Launch REGEDIT and find the following registry entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/NetIQ/SPA/Hotfixes.
  • Each Hotfix applied will be listed as a string value with the name of the string corresponding to the hotfix number applied.  The Data section will contain a brief description of the issue the hotfix addresses.
