After upgrading to NetIQ Security Solutions for iSeries v8.0, the option 80 screen displays new dates in the Valid Dates column and old dates in the Purchased column.

symptom
The NetIQ Security Solutions for iSeries v8.0 upgrade did not migrate my product licenses.

cause
The NetIQ Security Solutions for iSeries v8.0 upgrade adds a 30 day temporary license and changes the date in the option 80 Valid Date column.

fix

When the 30 day temporary license expires, NetIQ Security Solution for iSeries v8.0 activates the old license that was active prior to the upgrade. Please note that the temporary license activates all products while your permanent license might not. Product activation depends on which modules of the NetIQ Security Solution for iSeries v8.0 product you have purchased.
