Job logs for group jobs are captured if a job log is created when the group job ends.

To ensure a job log is created for a group job, the job user must be specified in Users/Workstations To Be Logged and the group job must either call program ALCL84 in library PSAUDIT upon starting or the interactive subsystem must have the appropriate routing entries. You can also change the End Group Job command default for the LOG parameter. To change the default for the LOG parameter, use command QSYS/CHGCMDDFT CMD(QSYS/ENDGRPJOB) NEWDFT('LOG(*LIST)').

If subsystem ZALOG is active, the group job's start and end date and time is logged whether or not a job log is produced.
