Situation

How do I unlock an account that is locked out of the SPA website?

What is the default time after which an account which has been locked out of the SPA website will be unlocked?

Resolution

On the NetIQ Secure Password Administrator administration web site, you can select search for SPA profiles.
After finding and selecting the profile of the locked out user, the administrator can select the "Unlock Profile" button.

On the NetIQ Secure Password Administrator adminisration web site, if you select SPA Profile Settings, you can view and change the "Lockout Settings" that define after how many failed attempts an account would be locked out and how long after the lockout the account would automatically be unlocked.  The default values are "3 consecutive failed attempts within 30 minutes will lock a user from the SPA Web site for 30 minutes."
