Symptom: Database Load fails with error: I/O error CPF5257 was detected in file AAAL022A. I/O error CPF5257 was detected in file AAAL022A (C G D F).

Symptom: Occasional failure of SAR Database Load to complete.

Symptom: QSYSOPR message when Database Load fails: The RPG procedure AA2003R in program PSAUDIT/AA2003R received the message CPF5257 at statement 815 while performing I/O operation UPDATE on file AAAL022A. The actual file is PSAUDIT/AAAL022A(AAAL022A).   

Cause: Can be caused by having many objects being audited via the Operating System.

FIX

In some instances, the issue occurred after upgrading to IBM OS V5R3 and was resolved with IBM V5R3 PTF MF32439.

If the issue persists, reduce the number of concurrent jobs being submitted by the Database Load.  It may be necessary to lower it to 1. Use the following menu path to change the value.

PSMENU, Option 1, 1, 1  Load Auditing Database Menu, 2  Set Libraries List for Object Load.  Reduce No. of Concurrent Load Jobs to 4 or less.  Press F8=Save Settings, and answer Are you sure to Save the Settings ? with Y.

Issue the following commands

CHGPF FILE(PSAUDIT/AAAPF022) WAITFILE(1200)

CHGLF FILE(PSAUDIT/AAAL022A) WAITFILE(1200)
