Situation
The UNIX agent can not resolve the management server name into an IP.
Resolution
Currently, the UNIX Agent can only communicate to the Management Server by resolving the MS servername.

Here is the sequence of events which causes this problem:
- The UNIX agent contacts the MS via IP.
- The MS replies and informs the UNIX agent that it should use machine name or FQDN instead.
- The UNIX agent updates its runtime configuration to contact the management server by name.

Answer: No. The order is /etc/hosts, NIS, DNS.

Answer: The agent must be restarted, but not cold-started, to acknowledge the change in name server lookups.
