Situation

UNIX Agent installation fails

Resolution

The UNIX Agent installation requires a syslog.conf file in the /etc directory to complete.  You can manually create an empty file and save it as /etc/syslog.conf, then launch the AppManager for Unix Agent installation.



Cause

The above problem occurs is the /etc/syslog.conf does not exist.
