Unable to run the DRA setup program to install a license file.

symptom
Error: "This setup program requires Microsoft Windows Installer 2.0..."

symptom
Cannot install a DRA license.

cause
The logged on user account does not have the required rights or permissions to run the installation on this computer.

fix

There are two ways to install the license:

  1. Log on with an account that is an administrator on the local computer and run the install program again.
  2. Use the licenseinstall.exe utility from the command line to install the license file. For more information see NETIQKB48774, "Cannot apply permanent license file, invalid file error."
