Environment

NetIQ AppManager 6.x
NetIQ AppManager 7.0.x

Situation

Why does the 'Last Runtime' column within the Operator Console show a date several days in the past?
How can I verify a job is actually running under a Monitoring Policy?

Resolution

The "last run time" is the time that the job was last "signaled to start".  You should not reference the Last Runtime column for verification of the job iteration.  Instead, you can use the following information to verify job iteration per Agent:

Right-click the Agent in question and select Troubleshooter > Job Info > Job Detail

The Last iteration time can be retrieved from the agent via netiqctrl (within the Operator Console, go to Extensions > NetIQCtrl and type ? for usage instructions), but is not retained in the AM Repository (QDB).

Cause

The 'last run time' column is meant to report the last time the job was signaled to start.  Usually, this is from a user clicking "start job" in the console or that a Monitoring Policy was applied
