URL Check Recorder will not authenticate Username and Password
Setting Username and Password values for a URL's Properties does not allow the Check Recorder to validate a specific web page.

If you must monitor a page that requires logging into the website through a separate login page, which then passes your browser to the page that you are trying to monitor (such as pages that use Java-based login scripting), you will be unable to monitor that page through the URL Check Recorder.

You can successfully monitor availability of such pages by using the Response Time for Web module's URL Web Recorder to memorize all of the authentication steps, validate that authentication is succeeding, and confirm that upon successful authentication, that the URL you are trying to monitor is in fact available.

The URL Check Recorder is limited to simple NT Authentication for any given Web Site or URL.  It can not handle Java-based Login Scripting that involves a separate login page from the page being monitored.
