I have purged my completed reports and my database is still very large.

I purged my history and the size of my database didn't change.
cause
The deleted items inside the console often are not large enough to reduce the size of the VigilEnt database. There is extra space between the written data that can show up as used space in the database.
fix
To reduce the amount of space used by the VigilEnt database, back up the VigilEnt database through SQL Server. By default, SQL Server compacts the backup and removes any extra space between files. Once you have backed up the database, restore the backup copy over the existing VigilEnt database.
