Environment

NetIQ Analysis Center 2.x

Situation

Error: 'Unable to open AdminRights.txt.'

Error: 'Test Failed: Invalid SQL Logon' message.'

Resolution

Manually force the server's %temp% to be C:\temp for the installation to complete successfully.



Cause

The account used during the Analysis Center installation does not have access to the server %temp% location for use of installation files. The installer application for NAC is a 16-bit application that may not be able to access long filename %temp% paths on some servers, such as c:\Documents and Settings\{userid}\Local Settings\temp.
