To create an ActiveView allowing Assistant Admins to close open files of any domain user account on a specified machine:

  1. Start the Delegation and Configuration console, logged on as an Assistant Admin with the DRA Administration role.
  2. Expand Delegation Management.
  3. Select ActiveViews and click New ActiveView.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Click Add and select Objects that match a rule.
  6. In the Accounts section, click the Users link.
  7. Click the any domain link.
  8. Select Specific Domain.
  9. Select the domain and click OK.
  10. Click OK.
  11. On the Rule screen, click Add and select Object that matches rule.
  12. Select Open Files.
  13. Click Any Computer and select Specific Computer.
  14. Locate and select the computer on which you want to manage open files.
  15. Click OK.
  16. Click OK.
  17. Click Next.
  18. Type in a name for the ActiveView and click Next.
  19. Ensure the I want to delegate power over this ActiveView after I finish this wizard option is checked.
  20. Click Finish.
  21. Click Next and Add.
  22. Select Users and search for the user account to which you want to delegate powers.
  23. Click Add and OK.
  24. Click Next, Add and select Power.
  25. Select the 'close open file for managed user' power and click Add.
  26. Click OK and Next.
  27. Click Next again, review the summary, and click Finish.
