You can configure PSDetect to automatically send email notifications for job completion messages when the PSDetect subsystem (ZPSD) is active and the Mail Server Framework jobs are started (STRMSF). To configure automatic email notifications, you must define an email alert action and add an email address for the specified jobs.

To add an email address in PSDetect:

1. From PSMENU, select options 3, 11, and 6.
2. Press F6 (=Add).
3. Specify the email ID (short name) and the actual email address, and press Enter.
4. Press Enter.
5. Press F3 (=Exit).
6. Press F12 (=Previous).

To configure PSDetect to send an email alert:

1. From PSMENU, select options 3 and 3.
2. Type 5 to the left of the QHST alert queue and press Enter.
3. Press F6 (=Create).
4. Specify a filter sequence and press Tab.
5. Specify a filter description and press Enter
6. In the Message ID field type CPF1164 and press Tab.
7. Type QCPFMSG and press Tab
8. Type QSYS and press Enter.
9. On the Edit Compare Data screen, type Y and press Enter
10. In the &Variable No./Starting Position column, type &1 and press Tab.
11. In the Equal To Compare Data column, type the specified job name and press Enter.
12. In the Action field of the Work With Actions screen, specify EMAIL and press Enter.
13. On the Email Action screen, specify an email address and press Enter.
14. Press F12 (=Cancel).
