When selecting objects with the Project Option Selection Wizard, The Domain Migration Administrator console hangs for an undetermined length of time

cause
The "View by Organizational Unit" option is selected for the "The following options affect how the Object Selection window displays information:" setting.  This is especially problematic if the source domain has a complicated, convoluted OU structure.

fix

Reconfigure the DMA console to display the domain's objects with a flat view of the domain

1. Launch the Domain Migration Administrator console
2. Single click the Domain Migration Administrator root object
3. Click on the View menu of the MMC and select Domain Migration Administrator Settings
4. Select the radio button to "Show a flat view of the domain" under the "The following options affect how the Object Selection window displays information:" setting.
5. Click the OK button to save settings and re-launch the Select Objects wizard for the project
