Why do some user accounts not show up unless 'show advanced Active Directory objects' is selected?

cause
These user objects have a property associated with them called showInAdvanceViewOnly which has a value of 'true' set. This value is not visible in the standard user interface, but may be viewed and modified using ADSI edit.

fix

There are two options for resolving this issue.

• Set the value for the showInAdvanceViewOnly property to 'False' on these user objects using ADSI edit.
• Enable the viewing of 'Advanced Features' in DRA.
1. Launch the Delegation and Configuration console.
2. Expand the Configuration Management node.
3. Right-click Administration Servers and select Update Administration Server Options.
4. Click the Client Options tab.
5. Select the check box for Show advanced Active Directory objects.
6. Click OK.
