goal
Can I create home directories on hidden shares in DRA?

fact
Directory and Resource Administrator 7.x

fact

fix

Yes.  Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) can create and manage home directories if the share in the home directory share path is hidden with the use of the $ suffix or hidden from the Browser service.  Ensure that the home directory Allowable Parent Path and the share being used in the user account include the $ hidden share suffix in the form /ShareName$ . For example:

A Users$ share located on c:\Home\Users on the computer HOUSTONSERVER01  requires the following Allowable Parent Path:

\\HOUSTONSERVER01\c:\Home\Users$

Create this share on a user account using the following path:

\\HOUSTONSERVER01\Users$\%username%
