Directory and Resource Administrator 7.x

Error: 'The specified home directory path, \\server-name\share-name\user-name, either does not exist or is not supported. DRA is configured to automatically create a home directory for this new account. To specify the home directory path, type \\computer\share\. For more information, see the Help.'

Error received when creating a new user account with a home directory.

The home directory path is not in the correct format, does not exist, or the Service/Override account does not have permissions on the local (target) computer.

To resolve this issue:

  • Verify the home directory path is correct and included in the allowable parent paths (if enabled) and that the \\server-name\share-name\user-name is in the correct format.
  • Ensure the Service/Override account has permissions to access the local (target) computer.
