Situation

The Password validation program security check in Vulnerability Manager times out and does not return data.

The iSeries Password validation program check in Vulnerability Manager cannot handle value *REGFAC.

The iSeries Password validation program check hangs when running on an iSeries server where system value QPWDVLDPGM is set to *REGFAC.

Resolution

PTF 1C03013 resolves an issue where the Vulnerability Manager Password validation program security check times out and does not return data. If the Password validation program security check is included in a policy template, the entire template fails.
