I am unable to view properties of user accounts in the Recycle Bin.

I cannot find certain user accounts in Directory and Resource Administrator.

Error received when viewing a user's properties: 'The Object does not exist. There is no such object on the server.'

cause

The user accounts in question were moved to the hidden OU container named NetIQRecycleBin using native tools such as Active Directory Users and Computers and are not disabled. User accounts deleted using Directory and Resource Administrator are moved to the NetIQRecycleBin container and are disabled.  The fact that the accounts are not disabled means the accounts were moved to this container outside of DRA.

fix

Move the user accounts to a different OU using native tools, then perform an Accounts Cache Refresh for that domain.  Directory and Resource Administrator can then see and manage the accounts successfully.
