cause
The GPA Server service account does not have write permissions on the folder where the GPAServerLogs.nq1 log file is maintained.

fix

To resolve this issue, grant the GPA Server service account write permissions to the folder specified in the error message.

You can also specify a different folder for the logs to be written by performing the following steps:

  1. Run NetIQ.GPA.DiagnosticUtility.exe located in Program Files\NetIQ\Group Policy Administrator\Diagnostics.
  2. Click the Settings button in the Server row.
  3. Change the path specified in the Log files location field, and then click OK.
  4. Click Apply, and then click Close.
