symptom
The SQL/Query Monitor does not show the detail SQL statement entered on the STRSQL prompt screen.

symptom
I entered a detail SQL statement on the Enter SQL Statements screen, but it's not showing in the SQL/Query Audit Report.

cause
Subsystem ZPSAMON was not active, or it was active but monitor job PSASQLMON was not running under it. 

fix

It is recommended you start the subsystem and monitor in the system startup program and in scheduled job entries.

To start the subsystem and monitor, on an iSeries command line, type the following commands, pressing Enter after each:

STRSBS PSAUDIT/ZPSAMON
MONMSG CPF0000

To start the monitor (and subsystem, if necessary) in a scheduled job entry, type the following command and press Enter:

PSAUDIT/PSASQLMON ACTION(*START)
