Situation

How do I manually uninstall Analysis Center?
Analysis Center cannot be uninstalled if SQL Reporting Servives (SRS) is uninstalled.
Error: 'SQLDMO may not exit, setup was unable to CreateObject ( SQLDMO.SQLServer ).'
Error: 'The application has failed o start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. re-Installing the application may fix this problem.'

Resolution

To uninstall Analysis Center:

  1. Make sure you have AC and Reporting Service installed.
  2. Log off from AC Console.
  3. Uninstall Microsoft SQL Server reporting services.
  4. Uninstall the AC console.
  5. Run Setup and specify remove all AC components.

Alternatively, you can reinstall SRS, uninstall AC and then uninstall SRS.

Cause

Analysis Center requires some API files within SRS for uninstallation.  If these API files aare removed with SRS, Analysis center uninstallation will not complete.
