Resolution

fact
Directory and Resource Administrator 7.x

symptom
Secondary Directory and Resource Administrator servers are not picking up changes to the security model made on the Primary Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) server.

symptom
No security model information exists on the Secondary DRA servers.

cause
The Multi-Master Synchronization schedule has been set to Never.

fix

In order for Secondary DRA servers to pick up changes made to the security model on the Primary DRA server, a successful Multi-Master Synchronization (MMS) must take place.  All security model information comes only from the Primary DRA server.  The Primary DRA server passes the security model information to the Secondary DRA servers through the MMS.  If the MMS schedule is set to Never, the Secondary DRA servers will never get updates or changes to the security model and will not be synchronized with the Primary DRA server.

To resolve this issue, enable the MMS on the Primary DRA server and set the MMS interval to some time increment other than 'Never'.
