cause
The upgrade attempted to cycle the *SHOWCASE server, which does not exist, ending the upgrade.

fix

If you are using Remote Request Management (RRM) and have exit programs installed, the upgrade process removes the RRM exit programs, cycles the servers, re-installs the exit programs, and cycles the servers again.

If the ShowCase server does not exist, the upgrade ends when the cycle *SHOWCASE server request is rejected. You must manually remove the ShowCase server from the NetIQ monitored exit program. After you manually remove the ShowCase server, run the upgrade process again.

To manually remove the ShowCase server:

1. Back up file PSINSTALL/LP0121F.
2. On the iSeries command line, type ADDLIBLE PSCOMMON and press Enter.
3. Type the following command and press Enter:

   PSRUNSQL REQUEST('DELETE FROM PSINSTALL/LP0121F WHERE L21SRVNAM = ''*SHOWCASE''') CONFIRM(*NO)

4. Type RMVLIBLE PSCOMMON and press Enter.
