Situation

Error: 'aCC runtime: Unexpected exception of type __rw::__rw_thread_error.'

AppManager core dumps when starting.

Resolution

Install the HP patch:

PHSS_34041  11.23 aC++ Runtime (IA: A.06.06; PA: A.03.66)

Cause

The HP aC++ Language Support Library changed in a recent Media Kit release of HPUX 11.23.
