Environment

NetIQ AppManager 6.0.x
AppManager ResponseTime for Web 6.3

Situation

Knowledge scripts recorded with WebRecorder version 6.3 complete 2 seconds later in comparison with the same checks recorded in previous Web-RT versions.

Resolution

In order to take advantage of these improvements, NetIQ recommends all Web-RT Knowledge scripts be re-recorded using Web-RT v. 6.3.

Cause

Improvements made in the structure of the Web Response Time module and product code may require more processing time than knowledge scripts recorded by previous web-RT versions.

Additional Information

Formerly known as NETIQKB51498

Knowledge scripts created with Web-RT modules previous to version 2.2 must be re-recorded with Web-Rt v. 6.3

Any WebTransaction Knowledge Scripts that you created with versions 2.2 and later of Web Recorder will still play back. However, they won't include any of the capabilities offered in the new Web Recorder. We strongly recommend that you re-record these Knowledge Scripts to take advantage of newer features.

If you are upgrading from a previous version of AppManager ResponseTime for Web, be sure to read the Installation chapter of the AppManager ResponseTime for Web Management Guide before you install the newer version. With version 6.2, Web Recorder was completely redesigned to provide more flexibility in the creation of Web-RT_WebTransaction Knowledge Scripts tailored for your environment.
