cause

When you are setting the proxy email address rules in the Delegation  and Configuration console, this error can occur if the value specified for GcServer under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Mission Critical Software > OnePoint > Administration > Modules > Accounts > Domains.Dns > YourDomain is not actually a Global Catalog server or the specified Global Catalog server is experiencing connectivity issues.



fix

Until you resolve this error, you cannot add SMTP email addresses to default proxies for email address rules.

To fix the issue, ensure the GcServer value under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Mission Critical Software > OnePoint > Administration > Modules > Accounts > Domains.Dns > YourDomain specifies a valid and functioning Global Catalog server.
