Can I upgrade directly from v5.3/6.3 to v8.0?

You cannot upgrade directly from VigilEnt Security Agent for iSeries (VSA for iSeries) v5.3/6.3 to NetIQ Security Solutions for iSeries v8.0 or v8.1. To upgrade from VSA for iSeries v5.3/6.3 to NetIQ Security Solutions for iSeries v8.0:

1. Ensure NetIQ Cumulative PTF 1X01355 is applied by performing the following steps:
   1. On the command line type DSPPTF 1PSC001 and press Enter.
   2. Page down to look through the list of applied PTFs.
2. If cumulative PTF 1X01355 is already applied, you can upgrade to v7.5, then to v8.0 using save files. 4. Upgrade to NetIQ Security Solutions for iSeries v8.0 and then on to V8.1.
