Dr Watson error received when installing hotfix NETIQKB41466 or NETIQKB44178.

cause
Dr Watson errors occur when you install Windows Server 2003 SP1 on the Secure Password Administrator (SPA) server due to new security lock-down features in Windows Server 2003 SP1, including DEP (Data Execution Prevention).

fix

To resolve this issue, either disable DEP on the SPA server running Windows Server 2003 SP1 or add the executables for the hotfixes to the list of allowed applications under DEP options.
