Resolution

fact
Directory and Resource Administrator 7.0 SP1

symptom
Unable to successfully delete a user account in the Web Console.

symptom
Error: "Could not find the object <username>. It may have been renamed or deleted. There is no such object on this server. <Object path>"

cause

This issue occurs if you delete a user account from the Vital Statistics task page instead of the User Delete task page.

Once you delete a user account using the Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) Web Console, it is no longer available. If you delete a user account from the View a user's vital statistics task page, the Vital Statistics task no longer works. Admins see the successful delete message, followed by the error stating that the object could not be found because it has been either renamed or deleted.

fix

To prevent this issue from occurring, delete the user account from the Delete a user task page in the Web Console, not from the View a user's vital statistics task page.

This issue is resolved in DRA 7.5 and later. Upgrade to the latest version of DRA to resolve this problem.
