Situation

Why are the sizes of the DataMart and Data Warehouse significantly different?

Resolution

The Analysis Center DataMart database is typically much larger than the AC_Warehouse database. The DataMart database stores the AppManager repository data and ArchiveData tables. When Analysis Center populates the OLAP cubes, the program accesses this data using linked servers. The AC_Warehouse database does not directly contain the fact data.
