What is the purpose of SPA Hotfix 50863?
This issue is addressed in Secure Password Administrator version 1.0 Hotfix 50863.
Hotfix 50863 addresses an issue where Secure Password Administrator (SPA) users with underscore (_) or percent (%) characters in their user names cannot access their profiles after registering on the SPA Self-Service site. This hotfix addresses this issue and allows users with underscore (_) or percent (%) characters in their user names to access their profiles after registering.
To download and install this hotfix:
- Close all SPA user interfaces.
- Ensure you have previously installed SPA Hotfix 44178 on each computer where you have installed the Secure Password Administrator Web server. For more information about SPA Hotfix 44178, see NetIQ Knowledge Base Article NETIQKB44178, available at www.netiq.com/support/spa/knowledgebase.asp.
- If you are installing the hotfix on a computer running Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 or Windows XP Service Pack 2, you must ensure that the Data Execution Prevention (DEP) feature on each computer allows you to install the SPA10000_Hotfix50863.exe. For more information about configuring the DEP feature, see Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 875352, available at SPA10000_Hotfix50863.exe file on each computer where you have installed the Secure Password Administrator Web server.
This hotfix modifies the spa.jar file. By default, this file is located in the Program Files\NetIQ\SPA\lib folder.
