The WMI service is hung or otherwise not functioning on the domain controller that GPG is querying.
Restart the WMI service on the domain controller.
If you need to determine which domain controller Group Policy Guardian is connecting to, turn up the logging by setting the trace level to 9 in the following registry keys: HKLM>Software>Full Armor>FAZAM GP Auditing>Logging> AuditingService and EventAudit.
