Environment

Secure Password Administrator 1.0

Situation

How do I disable the Internet Explorer control key functions when I set up a computer as a SPA Kiosk?

When setting up a Kiosk computer for SPA, can I disable the CTRL keys?

Resolution

The operating system defines control (CTRL) key functions. Windows operating systems do not provide a native mechanism to enable or disable CTRL key functions. Microsoft recommends creating a custom keystroke intercept application to provide this capability. For more information about configuring a computer for use as a SPA Kiosk, see: Implementing a Virtual Kiosk for the SPA Self-Service Site in the Secure Password Administrator User Guide.
