Group Policy Administrator (GPA) Console fails if you clear the ADM template filtering option Only show policy settings that can be fully managed on GPOs in the GP Repository associated with Windows XP Service Pack 2 ADM templates.

cause
This is a known issue in GPA 4.5.

fix

This issue has been resolved in GPA 5.0. Upgrade to GPA 5.0.

As a workaround, you can change the ADM template filtering options BEFORE you expand the Administrative Templates node.
