EventLog Knowledge Scripts display incorrect description in the event message. (NETIQKB49854)

Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition for 64-Bit Itanium-based Systems

Situation

The Event message from Knowledge Scripts running on a 64-bit agent does not match events recorded in the event viewer.

When using EventLog Knowledge Scripts, such as the WIN2000_RemoteStorageEventLog KS, on a 64 BIT agent, the information displayed in the event message is similar to the following:

However, the information displayed in the event message is not correct according to the event recorded in the event viewer.

Resolution

This issue was addressed in NetIQ AppManager 6.0.3 Service Pack for 64-Bit Support.  In order to resolve this issue please download and upgrade to the latest version of NetIQ AppManager from the following location:

Cause

NetIQ Technical Support has determined that AppManager has a known issue with WIN2003_BITS Knowledge Scripts running on XEON-based systems.
