Domain controllers are not detected for one domain.

No attempt is made to install DRA agents on domain controllers when performing a refresh or install agents process.

CLI command fails.

Error: 'Error loading server information from agent. HR=c00446f9.'

symptom
The log file MCSAdmin_Startup.nq1 reveals a value of none for the domain controllers for a managed domain.

cause

DRA incorrectly determined that the domain cache file is current and did not request an updated list of domain controllers. 



fix

To force DRA to recognize the domain controllers:

  1. Stop the NetIQ Administration service.
  2. Delete the DOM file for the affected domain from the DomFiles folder.
  3. Restart the service.
  4. Once the new DOM file is built, deploy the agents to the domain controllers.
