Cannot create a baseline in GPG.

cause
GPG is trying to connect to the SYSVOL folder using the name of the domain (\\DomainName\sysvol\FQDN\Policies) when it should be using the name of the domain controller (\\DCName\sysvol\FQDN\Policies).

fix

This issue is addressed in Group Policy Guardian version 2.0 Hotfix 49314.

This hotfix addresses an issue where the GPO baseline fails because GPG creates an inaccurate SYSVOL path.  This hotfix resolves this error by using the computer name of the domain controller you want to use for the GPO baseline to create the SYSVOL path.

To download and install this hotfix:

1. Run the GPG20000_Hotfix49314.exe file on any computer where the GPG console is installed.

This hotfix modifies the following files in the GPG installation folder. By default, this folder is \Program Files\NetIQ\Group Policy Guardian.

• \bin\faGpgSnapin.dll
• \bin\FAAuditInit.dll
